Fidel Castro has a meeting with 1 586 doctors.

They were ready to give solidary assistance to the US people affected by the hurricane Katrina. The group of doctors is given the name of Henry Reeve, who was a young northamerican that helped in the development of the fights for the independence of Cuba in the nineteen century. 

Henry Reeve

Henry Reeve was a northamerican citizen who came to Cuba on May 11th, 1869. The (Englishman) is an example of the internationals participation in the fights for the independence of Cuba in the nineteen century. He died in a battle on August 4th, 1876 in a land called Potrero de Yaguaramas, in the province of Las Villas at that time.  He was 26 when he died and had taken part in hundreds of battles that had given him scars from several  wounds.  Nowadays the Potrero de Yaguaramas is a National Monument.
