Issued in 2008, the postal Union of Americas, Spain and Portugal oriented the integrated countries the task of including their national holidays in the emission. Cuba made a four stamps issued dedicated to the July 26 events, where it is observed in the right extreme a hand with a rifle and in the left side the black and red flag of July 26 Movement having as background the image of the old fortress already converted into a School Center with young people in front of it.

Once independence was achieved, the leader of that assault, Fidel Castro Ruz, made it clear that from that moment on, our real battle would begging, to carry forward the Revolution and transform the country, breaking with yours of plundering, exploitation and injustice. Thus, the whole people joined the work of making the Moncada program a reality and building a socialist society.

Postcard issued on the 50th Anniversary, the image of the leader of the assault, and head of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, accompanied the bottom of the stamp with a phrase of the José Martí Apostle and to its left the identification of the Anniversary with the image of the Moncada Barrack and the Abel Santamaría’s picture, also leader of the assault.

In these more than 60 years of Revolution, many have been the task assumed by several Cuban generations to achieve the development reached, many “the Moncadas to be assaulted”, to be a model of free and sovereign country in front of an empire that tries to drown our example of resistance and dignity.

Issued 150 years of the beginning of our Independence Wars. In the lower part of the stamp, the old Moncada Barrack already converted into a School Center and in the upper part, having as background the Cuban Flag, the image of three important leader of this stage of struggle against tyranny: Abel Santamaría, Frank País and Jose Antonio Hecheverría. 

Today the pressures of the U.S. government against Cuba has reached the extreme. It uses mercenary and henchmen to create disturbances, supported by a media campaign with lies to confuse the international community and justify a hypocritical military intervention so called humanitarian.

But that July 26 clarion call still resound in the head of every worthy Cuban. Love from freedom inherited from our heroes and martyrs that gives us the strain to fight and win. With the Moncada spirit, we will defeat any attempt to bend us and we will continue to build the most just and humane social work ever known.

Let this work commemorate our Independence National Day, as a reminder for friends and enemies that Cuba will be a Forever 26.
