El amor de mi bohío

This creation of Julio Brito is a guajira son.  He composed it in 1937 and it was recorded both in Cuba and in several countries.

In this work he pointed out:

Silver valley of the moon

Path of my loves

I want to offer to the flowers

The song of my montuna

It's my life, a pretty little guajirita

The prettiest little thing, brunette

She's all love, the one who reigns in my hut

Where the stillness of the river, is dreamed of

And when the dawn breaks its beautiful colors

It tinges with enchantment my love nest

When I wake up my pretty guajirita

I leave a kiss on her little mouth, which I adore

Again the sun, reminds me that the day is already

In its full bloom, it claims

Then you can see, in the distance the hut

A little white hand, that says goodbye to me.
