The very well known character of Havana´s streets called Caballero de Paris was born in Spain, in a village called Consagra, in the province of Lugo. He was one of the symbols of Havana. The streets of Havana know about his tired and slow footsteps and his fantasies.  Many places in Havana were his home such as : Prado Street, 23 and 12 streets, Infanta and San Lazaro streets. Juan Manuel López LLedín, El Caballero de París, came to Havana when he was very Young. He worked very professionally in the Hotels Telégrafo, Sevilla and Manhattan . A while after when he was working as a maid in a house he  was unfairly accused of a robbery he never committed. When he went out oj prison he started to digress. When he died his body was placed in the Cemetery of Santiago de Las Vegas. Years later his remains were buried in the Basilica of the Convent San Francisco de Asís. He was an inspiration for a Danzon written by the Cuban musician Antonio María Romeu. There is also a sculpture which reflects him that is located next to the entrance of the Basilica Minor of the Convent San Francisco de Asís.
