The Central of Cuban Workers and its trade unions call to celebrate International Workers' Day, all Cubans in an atmosphere of joy, unity and commitment in the defense of our socialism, under the central motto For Cuba Together We Create.
 Again, in the compact and colorful parade by squares and avenues, we will multiply the demand of our workers for the cessation of the criminal and genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba . At the same time, we will reaffirm our solidarity with the peoples in the world fighting against discriminatory policies, which in the workplace applies neoliberal capital.

That is why we can proclaim to the world that our sacrifices today are not a consequence of the shortcomings of the Revolution, they are not consequences of the Revolution itself, but are a consequence of imperialist aggression.  But at the same time we can also say, and proudly proclaim to the world, that by

Our sacrifices today, because we have known how to make them and because we are willing to do so, imperialism has not been able to destroy the Revolution.  And that these sacrifices, these sacrifices are not originated in the laws and in revolutionary transformation, but, on the other hand, these sacrifices mean the victory of our people over imperialism.  Sacrifice is not therefore failure.  Sacrifice is triumph, sacrifice is victory ..."
