He developed as Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Havana, where he obtained the titles of Bachelor of Natural Sciences and Medicine and Surgery.

As an author he had a clear literary style and offered numerous scientific contributions.

He was a member of the Anthropological Society of the Island of Cuba, Faculty Member of the Science Section of the Liceo de La Habana, Merit Member of the Hunting Society of Havana and Faculty Member of the Science Section of the Liceo de Matanzas, among others. other institutions.
