Havana hosts Ninth Congress of Jurists

Under the motto "Law, science and innovation at the service of justice" the Ninth Congress of the National Union of Jurists of Cuba (UNJC) will meet this Tuesday at the Havana Convention Center.

Prensa Latina informs that jurists from all over the country will analyze, during two days, the ethical and ideological dimension in the field of work, challenges of professional improvement and attention to young people and law students.

The communication strategy, computerization, legal culture and international work will also focus the exchange.

The specialists come to this meeting with the challenge of delving into such issues from the current perspective of a country that, despite the blockade imposed by the United States, is striving to move forward in the construction of socialism as the only possible way to conquer all justice. .

Professionals from the legal sector will dedicate the event to the 45th anniversary of the creation of that organization.

The congress will be the time to exchange and strengthen knowledge about the regulatory changes carried out in the country, the transformations in economic events and the emergence of new actors in society, said the president of the UNJC José Alexis Ginarte.

On June 8, the Day of the Legal Worker is commemorated in Cuba in homage to the figure of Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz, El Mayor, who on this day, but from the year 1865, defended his degree thesis to receive a degree in Civil and Canon Law.
