They convene the V colloquium "European Presences in Cuba"

With the theme "Women in the history shared between Cuba and Europe" between October 26 and 28, 2022, the V Colloquium European Presences in Cuba will be held, convened by the Center for the Interpretation of Cultural Relations Cuba-Europe (Palacio of the Second Cape).

Habana Radio reports that, in this edition, the event will promote the study of women's history, recognizing their experiences and their role in history, while proposing to assess the place of women in society, their condition, their roles and his power, his silences and his word.

Based on the links between Cuba and the old continent, the proposals must revolve around the following thematic axes: women in colonial society, Migrations, family and identity, Creative, intellectual, scientific and professional women, Participation of women in the feat of Cuban independence, Political violence against women, Participation of women in the construction of the Nation and citizenship, Women's rights. Political activism, Women's associations, Women in economic history, Symbology, imaginary and representation of women and Women's stories.

Monday, September 5, 2022, at 5:00 pm, is the deadline to submit proposals. The organizing committee will publish the acceptance decision on the center's website (http:// Segundocabo.ohc.cu) and by email on Monday, September 19, 2022.

This event is held within the framework of the international cooperation project Promoting the sociocultural inclusion of women in the Historic Center of Old Havana, through the management of cultural heritage and psychosocial care with a gender perspective, sponsored by KCD ONGD and the Basque Agency for Development Cooperation (AVCD).
