The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the end of the day yesterday, June 5, 16 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 105 thousand 477.

One thousand 047 remain hospitalized; 886 suspects, and 37 under surveillance.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 29 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 96 thousand 756 (99.2%) recovered patients. 124 active cases were confirmed, 123 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 5 cases were identified, all autochthonous. Cases were reported in four of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Old Havana – 1

October Tenth – 1

For COVID-19, 3,322 samples were studied, resulting in 16 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 889 thousand 715 samples carried out and one million 105 thousand 477 positives.

Of those confirmed, 12 were contacts of confirmed cases, 3 with a source of infection abroad, and 1 with an unspecified source.

Of the feminine sex 9, and of the masculine 7. A patient is reported as serious.

There were no asymptomatic positive cases, accumulating a total of 146,982, which represents 13.3%.

The 16 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 7; from 20 to 39, 1; from 40 to 59 years old, 4, and from 60 and over, 4 cases.

As of June 5, Cuba reports a fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.18% of the world, and 1.73% of the Americas.
