PNR combatants celebrate the 61st anniversary of the MININT in Havana

The 61st anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) was commemorated with a political act by the combatants of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) of the capital's municipality of La Lisa, attended by Doctor of Science Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, Minister of Education; Juan Carlos Arteaga, first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; Yoamel Acosta Morales, president of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power; and Lieutenant Colonel Ángel Rondón Carrión, head of the PNR in the territory.

In the act, 15 combatants were awarded medals for years of service in the MININT, as well as being promoted to the next higher rank.

Lieutenant Yoelkis Alcolea Cisneros, First Lieutenant Gilberto González and First Noncommissioned Officer Ángel David Ramírez Girón, received the MININT Distinguished Service Medal.

The head of Education, after taking a tour of the Municipal Unit of the PNR, left her impressions in the visitor's book of the place, and pronounced the main words for the celebration of more than six decades of the MININT, where she highlighted that the combatants of the armed institution have always been characterized by their fidelity to the Homeland, to the Communist Party of Cuba, to Fidel and Raúl.
