The capital reports 3 of the 18 new positives to Covid-19 in Cuba

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, June 4, 18 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 105 thousand 461..

One thousand 072 remain hospitalized; 903 suspects, and 32 under surveillance.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 32 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 96 thousand 736 (99.2%) recovered patients. 137 active cases were confirmed, 136 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 3 cases were identified, all autochthonous. Cases were reported in three of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

San Miguel del Padrón – 1

For COVID-19, 3,567 samples were studied, resulting in 18 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 886 thousand 393 samples carried out and one million 105 thousand 443 positives.

Of those confirmed, 15 were contacts of confirmed cases, 2 with a source of infection abroad, and 1 with an unspecified source.

Of the feminine sex 9, and of the masculine 9. A patient is reported as serious.

16.7% (3) of the 18 positives were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 146,982, which represents 13.3%.

The 18 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 7; from 20 to 39, 6; from 40 to 59 years old, 1, and from 60 and over, 4 cases.

As of June 4, Cuba reports a fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.18% of the world, and 1.73% of the Americas.
