The monthly analysis meeting of the promotion of the Social Economic Strategy of the Government of Havana focused on the behavior of mercantile circulation, the analysis of companies with losses, price control, and the linkage with the new economic actors.

Tribuna de La Habana informs that in the meeting that took place this Friday, the coordinator of Economy programs in that instance, Jorge Luis Villa Miranda, began the session by informing that the execution of the mercantile circulation plan in the month of April behaved at 76 percent.

He specifies that the Provincial Gastronomy Company is responsible for the breach, because it stopped entering 1.3 billion pesos, equivalent to more than a third of the 4.5 billion stipulated in the fixed monthly plan.

In response to a request from the Governor of Havana, Reinaldo García Zapata, the directors of the Business Group for Commerce and Gastronomy in the city explained that the units in that sector should focus more on self-management to create offers, because after the improvement process only they receive 51 percent of the insurance that was given to them previously. They must also settle outstanding debts, and clean up finances.

Zapata defined that workers must have a sense of belonging to the sector, have initiatives, and stimulate electronic payment through the EnZona platform so that they are reflected in the offers to the population and in the income of those who work in that branch of the economy.

Regarding the business system, it was reported that of the 32 entities located in the city that reported losses at the end of April, four are of local subordination: Recreatur, Trade Insurance, Transport and Gastronomy.

The first two must reverse the situation in the month of June, while Gastronomy is in extinction, and Transport is subject to analysis, once again, by the national Finance and Economy bodies.

Regarding the companies that exceed profits, the first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, indicated to continue analyzing them to elucidate when prices are being overloaded to obtain profits.

In all the studies that are carried out, the cost sheets must be present, from which the rates are established; We cannot allow abusive prices that overwhelm the population.

The chaining of the business system with the 1,257 non-state MSMEs and the 20 approved non-agricultural cooperatives gave rise to an extensive exchange in which the highest authorities of the capital emphasized the need to create added value in that relationship, where not only the economic actors but also the community, the municipality.

In this sense, the structures of the Party and People's Power in the territories have a great responsibility, identifying the social contributions that the entities can make.

In the same way, the new economic actors must be taken care of by the CTC, and the political and mass organizations.

But as in all areas there are rights and duties, the latter must be fulfilled by the private sector, which under no circumstances can evade its fiscal commitments and other obligations, for which the ONAT and the municipal offices of Finance and Labor will ensure that they do not there are illegalities in this sector.

García Zapata called on the municipal governments to deepen their autonomy with bold, creative management, taking advantage of the recent measures that allow them to make greater use of the income.

Related to this aspect, he demanded that the territories that present arrears in the collection of fines reverse this situation as soon as possible.

Finally, the Governor of the city referred to the urgent need for all state agencies to apply teleworking and remote work modalities, to help alleviate the complex situation of transportation and electricity generation.

Zapata critically pointed out that, of the almost 120,000 employees covered by these systems in 2021, only 24,000 do so at this time.

After defining that this was a responsibility of the administrations, he directed speeding up the analysis that has been carried out with them since mid-May, with a view to including all workers who comply with them in these modalities.

The head of the capital government announced that only 30 percent of the total fleet of buses for public transportation is active, so the situation is critical, although he announced that a group of automotive equipment from the labor centers that will make it possible to alleviate the deficit, although the panorama will continue to be very complex.

On the energy issue, Torres Iríbar explained that a group of savings measures are planned in the non-residential sector to reduce consumption during peak hours, while reiterating the call for savings in households.

He also praised the rehabilitation work carried out at the Tallapiedra electrical substation, which has already begun its commissioning, thus contributing to the availability of electricity generation.
