Adoptions Fair returns to Havana.

The fair is organized by the voluntaries network BAC-Habana, in collaboration with the municipal government of Plaza de la Revolución.

An adoption fair, organized by the volunteer network Animal Welfare Cuba (Bienestar Animal Cuba) in Havana and the municipal government of Plaza de la Revolución will take place this Saturday March 19, between 10 a.m. to 2:00p.m. at John Lennon park, located at 17E between 6 and 8, in Vedado.

Tribuna de la Habana stated that the attendants will become witnesses and at the same time, protagonist of one of the most beautiful acts of love in the world: to responsibly adopt a pet.

According to this mass media, among the requirements to take into account to adopt a dog or a cat is to be over 20 years old and to carry the ID. It was added that people interested in adopting a pet will be interviewed because are the ones who the pet is going to live with, which means that the motive of the adoption shouldn´t be to adopt a pet as gift for another person who does not live with the interviewed.

The call specifies that these two aspects are decisive, since on numerous occasions it happens so that people interested should be aware of them and be fit for the adoption.

If the requirements are fulfilled and the intention of adding a new member to the family continues, we will be waiting for you at Lennon Park. A lot of puppies are waiting for being foster with love and care, posted BAC Habana in its web site on Facebook.

The activists of the group will be accompanied by the entrepreneurs Regalini, Bea, Yuyafrotaina, Daya, Charles Donuts with their projects and services which will donate part of the collected money to BAC.

The app of BAC can be downloaded through the link. The app is design to create consciousness about the work carried out on behalf of the animal welfare in the country.

BAC is currently integrated by more than 1000 members, mostly university students and most of them living in the capital, but also workers who spend their leisure time fighting for the animal well-being.

The group is integrated mostly by women who lives in the capital, added the activist, although there is no such a big difference between the amount of members of both genders in the rest of the provinces where other BAC groups operate.

Among the principal activities of the group are the adoptions fairs, the hygiene campaigns, rabies vaccination, feeding, deworming, and motivational talks about the care and love to animals with children, highlights Tribuna de la Habana.
