1944.     Víctor Casaus is born in Havana.

He is a bachelor in Spanish American Language and Literature from the school of Arts and Letters at the University of Havana. He has worked as a journalist and director of documentaries, on television and in the Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria Cinematográficos, ICAIC. He got a mention in 1970 with his work “De una Isla a otra Isla” in the Contest Casa de las Américas.

He is the founder and director of the Cultural Center “Pablo de la Torriente Brau”.

1959. The Commander Camilo Cienfuegos demolishes the number 6 post of the military camp Columbia, in La Habana.

Then he wrote: "  at the end of these seven years of mourning and blood ,the people, represented by the Rebel Army demolishes these walls, residues of the tyranny …” Later, in September of that year the military camp turned into what is still today: The Ciudad Escolar Libertad.
