The magazine "Mujeres" is created.

In its first issue, which began to circulate on this date, a smiling black woman was reflected on the cover. Through time, the magazine has reflected the reality of our country and the work of women. It has contributed to spread and socialize the ideas of equal rights and opportunities between men and women. It has reflected in its pages the multiple tasks that Cuban women have assumed during several decades in the defense and development of the Revolution and in the personal and social growth as full citizens. The magazine has also dealt with the activities and development of the Federation of Cuban Women.
