These young revolutionaries had been located and surrounded in a house in the neighborhood of La Víbora, in Havana, and with singular courage they confronted the forces of the dictatorial regime until they ran out of bullets and were harassed by tear gas bombs.  That is how the henchmen were able to penetrate into the house where they were and viciously murdered them.

He was born in the town of Melena del Sur, then province of Havana, on August 13, 1937. He came from a working class family. From an early age, along with other comrades, he joined the 26th of July Movement in his native town. As a revolutionary fighter he stood out in the clandestine struggle from 1952 to 1958. He was 21 years old when he was assassinated by the Batista dictatorship in the neighborhood of La Vibora in Havana on November 8, 1958.
