His life was connected to journalism. He worked and collaborated with different press organs, such as Juventud Rebelde and Trabajadores, the radio stations Radio Habana Cuba, Radio Cadena Habana, COCO and Radio Metropolitana and the (now Agencia Cubana de Noticias).  He was the author of books on Spanish language and the well known section "En defensa del idioma" (In defense of the language). He was distinguished because of his support as a member of the Academia Cubana de la Lengua. As a member of the National Security he had the mission of defending the achievements of the Cuban people.

Newspaper Trabajadores

It was founded on June 6th, 1970. It is the publication of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba with a weekly newspaper. It has a digital version with added contents to the ones printed.

Radio Cadena Habana

It appears for the first time on November 11th, 1940.The march of the 26 of July Group was recorded clandestinely there on February 15th, 1957. 

Radio Metropolitana

It was created on January 1st, 1975. It is part of the set of radio stations that form the Dirección Provincial de Radio en La Habana. Its slogan is “The radio for the house”.  With a clear cultural profile; the station put emphasis on the use of music and has a wide variety of informative programs in the design of magazines, news and a novel; besides having programs for children and adolescents.
