Fidel Castro speaks in Theater “Karl Marx” in the closing event of the Second Congress of the (Committees to defend the Revolution).

He emphasizes the role played by the biggest mass organization of the country in the revolutionary vigilance. He states that this organization has inspired other peoples of the world that want to get their independence.

He details: “…we have given a revolutionary example, a useful example to the international revolutionary movement, because our country – I repeat- has developed its revolution, and knows how to defend it in difficult conditions 90 miles from the United States.”
