She was born in the town of San Antonio de los Baños, then province of Havana. Since her childhood she began to study music. In her professional career she was an outstanding violinist who also actively participated in the elaboration and direction of music programs for CMBF Radio Musical Nacional, specialized in the diffusion of the so-called concert music. She was founder of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Havana Chamber Orchestra and was a member of the Nuestro Tiempo String Quartet and the Amadeo Roldán String Quartet. He was also soloist of the Orchestra of the Gran Teatro de La Habana.

CMBF National Music Radio

It was founded on April 25, 1948. It is a Cuban radio station with an informative cultural program specialized in the broadcasting of concert music, ballet, cinema, theater, plastic arts, literature and spaces of analysis on music and general culture.

Havana Chamber Orchestra

It was founded on March 3, 1934 as Sociedad de Orquesta de Cámara de La Habana (Havana Chamber Orchestra Society). The first concert was held on April 8 of the same year.  It performed an important task in favor of concert music, updated the Cuban musical environment and disseminated the best of Cuban and foreign creation, and served as a vehicle.
