Dr. Francisco Durán, National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health, in a press conference, at the end of yesterday, September 15th, stated that, 7628 new positive cases were confirmed for a total of 776 125.

To date, 6601 deaths by coronavirus (78 belong to the day) have been reported, and 38 794 active cases of which 38 336 with a stable clinical evolution; a total of 7592(belonging to the day) patients were discharged from hospitals for a total of 730 673 medical or epidemiological discharges. There are 138 critical patients and 320 in critical status.

Of the amount of patients diagnosed, 536belong to the capital, of them 532 are native and 1 imported. We regret 5 casualties by Coronavirus in the capital: Boyeros(2 deaths), Playa, Marianao and Arroyo Naranjo (1 death each).

Dr. Durán informed that in the last 15 days, the incidence rate per 100 000 inhabitants has decreased placing the capital in fortieth position in the country.

The most affected municipalities in Habana were Habana del Este (58), Arroyo Naranjo (52), Boyeros (51), Diez de Octubre (49), La Lisa (46), Playa and Marianao (43), Guanabacoa (32), Cerro (30), Plaza de la Revolución and Centro Habana (29), Cotorro (27), San Miguel del Padrón (22), Habana Vieja (19), and Regla,16.

56 070 test were studied for Covid- 19, with a result of 7628 positive samples whether with PCR or by antigen. The country accumulates 8 835 501 analyzed samples of which 776 125 were positive.

Of the confirmed cases, 7599 people were contacts of confirmed cases accumulating 757 071; 20 with source of infection from abroad for a total of 11 325 and 9 with unknown source of infection.

8006 cases were contacts of confirmed cases for an accumulate of 733 734(98.4%); 14(0.2%) with source of infection abroad for a total of 11 297, 14(0.2%) of them have an unknown source of infection.

There were 7608 native cases this Tuesday and 20 were imported of which 4092 female and 3536 male cases.

This Tuesday the amount of asymptomatic cases increased to a 4.7 %(538), for a total of 123 024 which represents 15.0% of the confirmed cases to date.

Of the 7516 confirmed cases, 1864 were under 20 years of age; 1817 between 20 and 39; 2292 between 40 and 59 and 1655, over 60.

The death rate for Covid 19 in Cuba, in September 15th, 2021 is 0.85% per million inhabitants which is lower than the 2.06% for the world and the 2.47 % for the Americas region.
