She was born on October 11, 1928.  She started in the artistic world as a tango singer, which later helped her to make her debut in the theater in the forties, in the varied vernacular companies of the time.He performed successfully in the cinema, television, radio and theater, as well as in other recreational centers. For her meritorious and extensive artistic career she received awards such as: the Distinction for National Culture, Diploma for the Cuban Musical Theater, Diploma of Merit as a singer and actress for her 60 years of artistic life, National Humor Award and Artist of Merit of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television.

Distinction for National  Culture

It is an award granted by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cuba to individuals or institutions for their contributions or contributions to the heritage of Cuban culture and exceptionally to foreign personalities who contribute to the growth of art. The distinction was created in 1981 in commemoration of the National Culture Day.

National  Humorist  Award

It is the highest award given to the most significant representatives of this artistic branch, taking into account the results and contribution of their work to the national culture. It was instituted by the Centro Promotor del Humor, on behalf of the Consejo Nacional de Artes Escénicas. It was initially awarded annually and is currently biennial.
