Luis Casas Romero, Deputy Director of the Army General Staff Band, with his 2LC plant, begins to carry out systematic radio transmissions. He transmitted on the 360 meter band.

Shortly before nine o'clock at night he put his signal on the air. He played an attention call with a toy bugle. Then an identification signal would come out by giving rhythmic taps on the metal of the bugle (a ticking effect). Immediately after making a small chord with the bugle he would say the time: It is nine o'clock. Then the weather bulletin was given. It was 2 LC the first radio station that from Cuban soil gave the time with the nine o'clock cannon shot and offered the report from the National Observatory.
