This organization represents these professionals in our country. It contributes to the development of journalists in the best traditions of the Cuban  political ideas and in the highest patriotic, ethic and  democratic principles which inspire the Cuban society.  Its main building is in the Casa de la Prensa, located in 23 and I Streets, in the neighborhood Vedado, in the city of Havana.      

 Neighborhood Vedado

It is a neighborhood in Havana. Its construction started at the end of the 19 Century and reached its highest magnificence in the first half of the 20 Century It is now part of the municipality Plaza de la Revolucion. The headquartes of the Direction of Communist Party of Cuba, the Presidency of the Republic and the government Direction as well as ministries and other institutions, important state education and health centers, the media, cultural facilities and mass and social organizations buildings are in this area.
