Dr. Francisco Durán, National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health, in a press conference, at the end of yesterday, July 6, stated that, 3664(73+) new positive cases were confirmed for a total of 214 577.

To date, 1405 deaths by coronavirus (18 belong to the day). It have been reported a total of 3071 medical or epidemiological discharges in the day. There were 20 882 confirmed cases of which 20 689(99.1%) with a stable clinical evolution. An amount of 192 234(98.6%) people were medically and epidemiologically discharged from hospitals. There are 79 critical patients and 105 in critical status.

Of the amount of diagnosed patients, 666(75+), belong to the capital, of them 657(68+) are native and 9 imported cases. The biggest amount of PCR tests done (25, 9%) belong to the capital with a positivity of 7 % placing it at thirtieth position of the chart.

Francisco Durán confirmed 5 deaths by coronavirus in the capital for a 29.9% in the incidence rate by 100 000 inhabitants showing a slightly increase of the cases in contrast with the progressive trend of decreasing cases that had been lately reported. Durán pointed out that it still remains a high transmission rate and it is spread along all the municipalities. The biggest figure of active events, 55, of the 157 reported, are from the capital.

Most affected municipalities in La Habana were Boyeros (77), Habana del Este(71), Arroyo Naranjo(69), Diez de Octubre(57),  Centro Habana(55),Playa(46), Cerro(44), Marianao(42),  Habana Vieja and Lisa(38 each), Guanabacoa(36), Cotorro(34), Plaza de la Revolución(28),  San Miguel del Padrón(21)  and Regla(34).

36 905 test were analyzed for Covid 19, with a result of 3664 positive samples (516+). The country accumulates 368 910 analyzed samples of which 214 577 (4%) were positive.

Of the amount of confirmed cases, 3519(96%) were contact of confirmed positive cases for a total of 204 650(95.4%). There were 42 imported cases (1.1%) for a total of 9 297(4.4%). There were 103 cases (2.8%) with unknown infection source.

There were 3 662native cases confirmed this Tuesday of which 42 are imported. There were 1899(51.8%) female and 1765(48, 2%) male cases.

43 469 patients remain hospitalized for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 13 907 suspicious, 8680 under medical watch. 20 882 positives cases were confirmed of which, 20 698 (99.1%) with a clinical stable evolution. An amount of 192 234(98.6%) have been medically and epidemiologically discharged from hospitals.

Of the 3 664 positives cases, 21,6 % were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 92 224, which represents 43 % of the confirmed cases to date.

Of the 3 664confirmed cases, 733 were under 20 years of age; 1076 between 20 and 39; 1237 between 40 and 59 and 698 over 60.

The death rate for Covid 19 in Cuba, in July 6, 2021 is 0.65% per million inhabitants which is lower than the 2.16% for the world and the 2.62 % for the Americas region.
