Dr. Francisco Durán, National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health, in a press conference, at the end of yesterday, July 3, stated that, 3519new positive cases were confirmed for a total of 204 247.

To date, 1351 casualties have been reported (14 of them belongs to the day), 2633 medical discharges (belonging to the day), and 19 320 confirmed cases of which 19 111(98.9%) with a stable clinical evolution, 183 520(90,1%) medical or epidemiological discharges. There are 81 critical patients and 128 in critical status.

Of the amount of patients diagnosed, 534(111+), belong to the capital, of them 519(123+) native and 18(12- ) from abroad. The biggest amount of PCR tests done belong to the capital. During the day; there were diagnosed 539 positive pediatric cases, 54 of them from the capital.

Francisco Duran confirmed 4casualties in the capital showing a decreasing progressive trend but, stated, it remains high transmission rate and it is spread along all the municipalities. Due to de the decreasing trend of cases, the capital stands at ninth position of the provinces in the country. The biggest figure of active events 54, of the 156 reported, are from the capital.

The most affected municipalities in Habana were Arroyo Naranjo(70), Habana del Este(47) Centro Habana(36),Diez de Octubre(45),Playa(44),Marianao(39),Boyeros y Cotorro(36  each),Guanabacoa (32),Habana Vieja(31), Cerro y La Lisa(30 each), Plaza de la Revolución (23), San Miguel del Padrón(20) and Regla(13).

There were 3322 native cases and 197 imported confirmed this Saturday, of which, 1832(52.1%) female and 1832(47.9%) male cases.

44 625 patients remain hospitalized for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 13 739 suspicious, 11 566 under medical watch and 19 320 confirmed (98, 9%) with a clinical stable evolution. An amount of 183 520(90.1%) have been discharged from hospitals.

Of the 3519 positives cases, 962(27.3 %) were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 89 801, which represents 44% of the confirmed cases to date.

Of the 3519confirmed cases, 623 were under 20 years of age; 1106 between 20 and 39; 1191between 40 and 59 and 599 over 60 .The death rate for Covid 19 in Cuba, in July 3, 2021 is 0.67% which is lower than the 2.16% for the world and the 2.62 % for the Americas region.
