Dr. Francisco Duran, National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health, in a press conference confirmed that, at the closing of yesterday, 2952 new Covid-positive cases were confirmed, for a total of 193 945. 

To date it is reported 1302 casualties (18 of them died today), 1879 medical discharges, 16557 positive cases, of which, 16 373 with a stable clinical evolution. 77 patients in critical condition and 107 critically ill patients.

399 of the diagnosed patients are from the capital. 384 of them are native and 15 are from abroad. Most of the PCR test realized corresponded to La Habana (24.5 %). During the day, of the 438 identified pediatric cases, 34 are from La Habana.

Dr. Francisco Duran commented that three people died at the capital, fact that show a tendency of a progressive decrease in the number of the cases, but it is still a high the transmission rate, which is dispersed along the municipalities. The province reported an incidence rate of 246.7 percent over 100000 inhabitants. Due to the decrease in the amount of cases, Havana ranks in ninth position of the board. He stated, also, 40 of the 138 active events belong to the province.

Most affected municipalities in Havana are 10 de Octubre (62), Boyeros (37), Arroyo Naranjo (36), Playa (31), Habana del Este (29), Centro Habana (27), Lisa (26), Cerro and Marianao(25 each),Cotorro (22), Habana Vieja and Plaza de la Revolución (20 each),Guanabacoa and San Miguel del Padrón (16 each), and Regla with 7 cases.

Dr. Durán added that in the last 15 days, Cotorro, Lisa, Cerro, Guanabacoa, Marianao, Diez de Octubre y Playa- in this exact order- accounted for the largest amount of Covid-positive cases.

For Covid-19, 36202 samples were studied, of which 2952 were positive. Cuba accumulates 5 149 286 realized tests of which 193945 were positive (3, 7%).

Of the total number of confirmed cases, 2810(95,1%) were contact of previous confirmed cases. Accounting an amount of 184 555(95, 2%); 48 of the them (1,6%) with source of infection from abroad for a total of 8 677(4,5%) and 94(3,2%) with unknown source of infection.

2904 of the reported cases are native and 48 from abroad. Of them, 1572 female (53,3%) and 1380 male (46,7%)cases.

43410 patients remains under epidemiological medical surveillance. 11082 suspicious cases, under medical surveillance 15771 and 16557(8, 5%) confirmed positive cases of which 16 373 cases with a stable clinical evolution rising up to 17 6030(90, 7%) patients that were discharged from the hospital.

Ranking from group of ages, of the 2952 diagnosed cases: 487 under 20, 1017 from 20 to 39 years, 1011 from 40 to 59, 555 over 60 years old, for a total of 2952 diagnosed.

Lethality rate for Covid-19 in Cuba, up to this June 30, is of 0.67% for a million of inhabitants, lower to the 2.16 of the world and of the 2.62 in the area of Americas.
