Cecilia Ariztí dies in Havana

She was a Cuban pianist, composer and pedagogue, who became familiar with all the styles and forms of the universal European music of her time. Since she was a child she showed great musical aptitudes creating some melodies on the piano. In the field of teaching she wrote a manual of exercises for the piano and gave private lessons at the Carlos Alfredo Peyrellade Conservatory in Zaldívar in Havana.
