Comandante Manuel Fajardo Hospital

Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Docente Comandante Manuel Fajardo, formerly known as Hospital de Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes, is the oldest hospital currently operating in Cuba. This center, which dates back to 1880, is located in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality.  It has been a pioneer in many branches of medicine and the precursor of several specialized institutes that today distinguish the National Health System.
