A brigade of public health workers goes from Havana to Algeria.

Fidel Castro Ruz the leader of the Cuban Revolution, made reference to the health situation in Algeria months prior to this date. He stated Cuba´s attitude of helping and giving a solidarity support.  There were 28 doctors in the brigade, 3 stomatologists, 15 nurses and 8 technicians. Cuba has supported several countries during the course of time.

It is an Arabic country located in the north of the African continent. It´s official name is Popular and Democratic Republic of Algeria and Argel is the capital city. It shares a border with the Mediterranean sea in the North, with Tunez and Libya to the East, with Niger and Mali to the South, to the Southwestern with Mauritanian and to the west with the lands of Sahara Dessert and Morocco. It has a 2 381 740 square kilometers surface. It is the longest country of Africa.
