Prestigious Cuban music Ignacio Cervantes Kawanagh died in Havana.

His musical works occupy a high place in Cuban artistic production. He wrote zarzuelas, waltzes, symphonies, a comic opera, and many other works of priceless value. This musical creator was successful both in Cuba and in various parts of the world. He came to point out on one occasion: “I have only had two prides in my life: The first: having been born in Cuba and the second having obtained the first prize at the Paris Conservatory to be able to offer it as a loving tribute to my beloved country.”
