Francisco García Elósegui died in Havana

He dedicated himself for several decades to the practice of journalism. Since 1962 he h systematically collaborated with various Cuban and foreign written press organs and with various radio stations in the country. He worked as editor of the capital weekly Tribuna de la Habana, where he was the founder and held various management positions. For two terms, he was vice president of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC) in Havana. He was a member of the Cuban Communist Party and a member of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution.

Tribuna de la Habana

It is a weekly eight-page tabloid publication that reflects the events of the Cuban province of Havana and publishes other general information. Its first edition circulated on October 7, 1980.
