Raúl Roa García was born in Havana

Writer, professor, politician and diplomat, Roa Garcia was a prominent figure and a combatant in the pre-revolutionary Republic. After the triumph of the Revolution, he was first Minister of Foreign Relations and later Vice President of the National Assembly of People's Power. His long and intense activity at the head of revolutionary diplomacy and the defense of the sovereignty of Cuba earned him the nickname of Chancellor of Dignity.

National Assembly of People's Power

 It is the supreme organ of the power of the State. It represents all the people and expresses its sovereign will. It is the only body in the Republic with constituent and legislative powers. Its deputies are elected for a period of five years. Every new legislature elects its President, Vice President and Secretary from among the deputies.
