The total of people to be vaccinated is 44 010, a number that is expected to be achieved before April 1st, even though the second dose of this vaccine candidate will be applied at the beginning of that month.

It was informed in a meeting of the Provincial Defense Council (CDP) in Havana, this Friday, March 26th, the total of people to be vaccinated with Soberana 02, in phase III of clinical testing, which is 44 010, a number that is expected to be achieved before April 1st, even though the second dose of this vaccine candidate will be applied at the beginning of that month.

For that purpose, several clinical and vaccination centers have been created in Havana, and at the end the yesterday, Soberana 02 had been applied to a significant number of subjects, among which we can find people below 65 years old and without comorbidities, and also citizens between the ages of 65 and 80 years old.

The intervention study done on the risk groups, has not been left idle, and the tests of the Abdala vaccine candidate will start in this province when then Center for State Control of Medicine, Equipment and Medical Devices (CECMED) approves it.

In general terms, every municipality in the capital has had a good development in the current phase of testing of Soberana 02. Also, work is being done in order to certify other places for future vaccination and for Public Health staff (family clinics, hospitals and scientists) to support this actions closely.
