The Cuban poet Hilarión Cabrizas dies in Havana

He worked for several newspapers and was awarded by the literary works he produced. He graduated from high school at the Institute of Matanzas and worked with Enrique Borras’s Drama Company. He was a member of the National Academy of Arts and Humanities, of the Association of American Writers, and the Association of the Press, where he was its secretary, The Fine Arts Society and he was the president of the Literature Section there, when he died.

The Fine Arts Society

It was a cultural institution that brought together the promoters of the Fine Arts and Humanities; it favored the development of exhibitions, conferences, literary tertulias, among other cultural related sessions.It was established on March 15, 1930 and was the unification of two institutions: The Association of Painters and Sculptors and the Cuban Club of fine Arts.
